Do you require a deposit?
Local hourly moves usually authorize a card but bill after the crew finishes. Long-distance flat quotes may request a deposit tied to truck placement — we disclose amounts on the written estimate.
How does insurance / valuation work?
Standard carrier liability applies unless you pick upgraded valuation. We explain released rate vs. full-value protection before you sign — nothing verbal-only.
What about stairs, elevators, and long carries?
They’re common in Metro Detroit condos and triple-deckers. We note flights, elevator reservations, and excessive carries during quoting so hourly crews stay predictable.
Should I tip the crew?
Not required. If you loved the pad-wrap discipline and pacing, cash tips are appreciated industry-wide — split evenly across movers.
How do peak weekends and month-end affect pricing?
Demand spikes May–September and around month-end leases. Book early for best windows; surge pricing (if any) is quoted before you confirm.
Can you pack my kitchen?
Yes — partial or full pack jobs add labor + materials. Tell us fragile priorities (glassware, artwork) so we bring the right cartons.
What won’t you move?
Propane, open pesticides, loaded firearms safes without prep, and perishable plants sometimes need special handling. Ask during quoting — we’ll steer you to proper channels.
Are you licensed for Michigan intrastate moves?
We operate as a licensed Michigan motor carrier under MPSC rules for regulated hauls. Interstate relocations route through USDOT-registered partners when required.
